What’s up party people?
“There’s been something I’ve been meaning to say,
Supposed to have said it early on, but I kept up with the delay,
Don’t think it’s not on my mind though, everyday
Spinning me like a hurricane, ay bay bay
This is it, today’s the day.”
I must apologise for my pitiful blog entry yesterday. I was sleep deprived, wounded and feeling a tad lazy so what I put out was not worthy of the Isaac Chronicles, even if it is better than most of the crap you read on other blogs (Editor’s note: I’m looking at you Perez Hilton).
Now, after having had almost twelve hours of sleep, I’m back baby!
Though paintball was obviously the main attraction of yesterday, I must say that the car ride to Heartbreak Ridge was arguably just as entertaining. Shout out to Nik, Rachel, Crystal and I suppose Laura as well for keeping me entertained at such an absurd time in the morning. The conversation was that enthralling that I actually put away my Nintendo DS to focus on what was being said. Moments like these, seemingly forgettable, but ultimately memorable (Editor’s note: Wooo, not bad kid, not bad).
I’m working on something, I’ll debut it soon.
Just stay in tune.
Anywho, on to the next one:
Cocky ’09
Due to the fact that this blog was born last year, 2009 forms the basis of a majority of my stories. Recurring themes include: girls, me being awesome, girls and me being awesome. Variety is rare, but when it does occur, my loyal readers are pleasantly surprised to see a side of me that I don’t usually put on display. Maybe a little bit of vulnerability, a subtle hint for something coming up, maybe a cryptic allusion to something else.
I like to think that’s why people keep reading, and not just cause they hope I post a sexy photo of myself.
It’s still too early to see whether 2009 was the year that changed everything. It’s still too recent, but eventually we’ll see if it was the year that paved the way for me to take over the world, or whether it was the year that set me up to see the sky fall upon me.
A cocky eighteen year old sat down on his office chair and grinned. A man, and yet, still a child. He remembered everything he had been able to do uptil this point. Sure, he had fallen for the same pitfalls all individuals must fall through, he had failed, he had been torn up. Here he was though, leaning back slightly, contemplating what he was about to write.
He was better than most.
That’s what kept running through his mind.
He could do it.
Eyes closed, he thought about the year he had just gotten through.
It was inevitable.
His fingers began flying across the keyboard.
It was done.
A challenge had been set, and he was sure he’d be able to achieve it.
He had no idea that six months later.
He would fail.
Until next time folks! Stay classy!
